Lincolnshire Poacher, Smoked
Lincolnshire Poacher is created on the eastern edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds on an organic farm. Sustainable agriculture and organic farming are hugely important to the farmers and help to ensure happy cows and delicious milk. The Holstein Fresian cows graze freely so the terroir plays a big part in the flavour of each individual cheese. The Poacher is then smoked for 24 hours at a local smokehouse over untreated oak chips.
Smoked Lincolnshire Poacher is a firm, smokey cheese with a deep and full flavour. It has a smooth and creamy texture.
This cheese is aged for 12 months and is made with raw cows’ milk and traditional rennet.
