Your Delivery Date
There is a calendar on the view cart page for you to choose your desired delivery date. If you don't choose one, we will dispatch in our next available window -usually 1 to 3 days from when you place the order. If you can't see the option to choose a date, you are probably on the Express Checkout screen. To add a delivery date from the Express checkout page, simply click the link 'cart' to reach the calendar as shown:

During peak times (including during COVID-19 lockdowns) we do not guarantee that your order will be delivered on the date you choose, although we'll do our very best to notify you if your delivery date isn't possible. Monday delivery dates are not available with our overnight flat rate (£8.25) national delivery service.
Local Deliveries
Orders placed on this website are usually dispatched and arrive at their destination on the same day, Mondays to Fridays, sometimes by early evening, excluding bank holidays. The cut-off time for same day delivery is usually 12 noon, this may not be possible in peak times. The local delivery rate of £3.75 is only available through this website for addresses with the following postcodes, using a zero emissions cycle delivery service.
CB1 + 1xx, 2xx, 3xx, 7xx;
CB2 + 1xx, 3xx, 7xx, 8xx;
CB3 + 0xx,
CB4 + 0xx, 1xx, 2xx, 3xx.
The shipping charge system is not foolproof, we will refund or ask for additional payment if you have been charged at the wrong shipping rate.
Please be aware that the local delivery zone postcodes are set by our delivery partner, Zedify Cambridge.
Extended area local deliveries using Click It Local
If you want a same-day, zero emissions delivery service to local destinations outside of Cambridge, please visit our online multi-vendor partner, Click It Local. A link is provided below each product listing on our site. Click It Local deliveries can be scheduled to arrive Mondays to Fridays - excluding bank holidays - and on the same day if your order reaches us before 1pm. Click It Local have their own terms & conditions and delivery charges that may change at any time.
National Deliveries
Parcels for other UK mainland destinations are sent by DPD overnight and are dispatched Mondays -Thursdays for tracked overnight delivery to the recipient Tuesdays – Fridays. We aim to fulfil your order at the shop within 2 to 3 working days of receiving it, and our delivery partners aim to deliver to your door within a 48 hour window. The vast majority of parcels that we send will arrive at their destination within 48 hours of dispatch; one or two may take a little longer. We do not dispatch on Fridays to avoid perishable cheeses being in transit over the weekend. Neither we nor our delivery partners can offer refunds for late or delayed parcels.
Receiving your parcel
National deliveries: DPD offer timed delivery slots which you can change using their app. We recommend that you avoid rescheduling delivery for another day if your parcel contains cheese or other perishables. so please include details of a safe place to leave your parcel, whether it’s for you or a gift for someone else and a contact number for the parcel recipient. Pay close attention to the tracking notifications so that your parcel is not left out at risk of damage or theft. We are not responsible for loss or damage to your parcel after it's been delivered to the given address.
Weekend deliveries
A Saturday service is possible for an extra charge, please contact us for details at least 2 days before placing your order.
Is there anything else I should know?
We do not guarantee next day delivery on all consignments and cannot credit you for delayed ones, although we may, at our discretion, offer some form of compensation. We urge you to allow extra time between placing your order and needing to receive it, especially around public holidays.
Whilst we take every care to pack your purchases securely to ensure they arrive safely, accidents do occasionally happen during transit. Broken or leaking items may cause your parcel to be delayed, and in the event of damage or delay caused by substantiated breakages, we will offer a full or partial refund or a credit voucher as appropriate. Please contact us straightaway by phone or email if any items arrive damaged during transit.
