Gochujang Sauce, Peichin’s Table
Peichin is a chef and baker who now runs multiple food businesses in Cambridge, having begun her successful cooking career in London in 2018. Before that, Peichin studied and worked in fashion but after becoming a mum, decided to refocus and move to an industry that brought her joy - food.
Her passion for food was born at her father’s restaurant in Taiwan in the 80’s, where she started helping out at the age of eight. With such a different food culture there, she only really discovered flour and European ingredients when starting Pantry & Co, a deli and café in East London. She now runs a micro bakery in Cambridge, Chin Chin Bakery, which specialises in doughnuts made with the very best ingredients, as well as Basque cheesecakes, brownies and layer cakes.
Alongside this, she runs Peichin’s Table, a condiment business inspired by the mixing pot of Asian cultures in Taiwan, making sensational Kimchi, Gochujang sauce, Szechuan chilli oil and Taberu Ra-Yu. Every condiment is made by hand in tiny batches for her local suppliers and occasional market stalls.
This is a finger licking Gochujang sauce, with a sweet flavour and little kick to finish! It’s brilliant drizzled over your morning eggs, avocado on toast or fried chicken.
