About the Producer

Stockan’s have been baking on the Orkney Islands for over 100 years, using the finest local ingredients, including Scottish wholegrain oats.

Stockan’s are a 4th generation, family owned business, with a team of long standing employees, some of whom have been with the company for over 40 years. It was in 1952 that the company obtained permission to use the image of the majestic 450 foot ‘Old Man of Hoy’ sandstone rock stack, which is still present today. In 1986, the company acquired Stockman’s bakery in the harbour town of Stromness, and started producing their, now famous, thin oatcakes.
