Le Petit Zeste was founded in 2021 by Dominique and Éloi Daumet, two French agricultural and food engineers passionate about local produce and clean ingredients. Their artisanal biscuit factory is based in Hérault in the South of France.
Le Petit Zeste use exclusively French produce, and even manage to source over 50% of it from the region in which they are based. Their high quality ingredients include Pélardon and Roquefort cheeses, Aigues-Mortes flour de sel, local almonds and olive oil, and Valrhona chocolate. The company also prides itself on the handmade nature of all their crackers and biscuits, from hand selecting ingredients and roasting them in house, to baking and shipping.
The company’s commitment to sourcing ingredients close to home significantly reduces food miles and their environmental impact. It also supports the regional economy and champions local produce, benefitting local residents and small scale farmers and producers.
