Selectos de Castilla was established in 1989 in Villamartín de Campos in Palencia, Spain, by a Spanish-French family.

Ducks are migratory birds and naturally fatten themselves up before their long flights so that they have the necessary energy reserves. Villamartín de Campos has over ten different species that migrate there every year. Selectos de Castilla have taken inspiration from nature and keep their ducks semi free range (they are free range once they have feathers at 3 weeks old), in vast parks (with continued access to sheds for shelter) so that they naturally become large and athletic.

Every duck is monitored individually and will only be slaughtered when the correct age and size. Every part of the process is done by the family business and the products are handmade artisanally, without additives, preservatives or chemicals, ensuring the most traditional and high quality products.
