About the Producer

Gentlemen’s Relish was created back in 1828 by John Osborn and the original secret recipe, known to just one single employee in Elsenham, remains in use today. It is a savoury paste with a salty, fishy taste, containing salted anchovies as it’s main ingredient. It is also known as ‘Patum Peperium’ which is Latin for ‘Pepper Paste’.
