About the Producer

Pedro Sanchez Perez launched a caper selling business in the 1930s, in one of Spain’s largest caper producing regions, Murcia. The business was taken over by Pedro’s grandson, Pedro Asensio Sanchez, in the 1970s and was founded under his name as ‘Alcaparras Asensio Sanchez’. After being taken over, the business developed new and exclusive technologies for processing capers and opened a new factory to allow for sale across the world.
The business is now run by the fourth generation of the family and has expanded into the preserving of garlic, green pepper, red chillies, button onions, gherkins and olives.
