About the Producer

The history of Secreti di Sicilia dates back over 120 years to 1906, when the family began cultivating olive trees in Chiaramonte Gulfi. Today, the company is run by the sixth generation of the family and has won hundreds of awards for product quality.

By 1930, the family were using stone mills to press the olives for oil. In the late 70’s, Giovanni, head of the family and business at the time, decided that the mill should be opened up to small local olive producers. It became so popular that a second mill was opened in 1999.
With Giovanni’s three children now also working for the company, attention turned to high quality olive oil production and sales. In 2001, the family won the first award for their olive oil - today, they have over 650 awards to their name. By 2012, the next generation of the family had joined and decided to diversify by introducing Sicilian preserves. In 2018, a new production plant with a hyper-technological mill, was opened to minimise environmental impact and further improve product quality.

All of the produce for the preserves and antipasti range is grown locally in Sicily and stored in the company’s famous extra virgin olive oil, without any additives.
