About the Producer

Vestri was founded in 1982 in Arezzo, Tuscany, Italy, by husband and wife team Danielo and Stefania, although the family run business has roots in chocolate production that date back to the 60’s with Danielo’s parents.

Vestri are a bean to bar company, and so, in order to source the highest quality raw materials, the couple decided to invest in and now both own and manage a cocoa plantation in the Dominican Republic, from which they source their cocoa beans. The beans are picked by hand, left to ferment in wooden crates and then are dried in the sun. Production is both pesticide and chemical free.
