About the Producer

Firetree are bean to bar chocolate makers based in Cambridgeshire. They source the finest cocoa beans from remote volcanic islands with nutrient rich soils, then ferment and solar dry the beans before they are roasted and turned into chocolate.

The Soloman Island beans come from Guadalcanal, which has a warm, humid climate and rich, volcanic soil. They are sourced from the North of the island which is sheltered and has a fertile soil. Farmer Diana grows her cocoa amongst durian and lemon trees and has close relationships with her neighbours, who offer her their beans if she has a low yield.
