About the Producer

The story of Morbidi starts in 1923, when Armando Morbidi took over a dairy in the centre of Siena in Italy to create a beautiful and traditional delicatessen. Despite the Second World War, the business grew and opened two more locations.
In the late 70’s the shop on Via Banchi is Sopra was sold and became the centre of the new business.
In 2014, the venue was renovated to include a high end cocktail bar, alongside the traditional delicatessen. In 2015, the company built their own sheepfold in the countryside, a few miles from Siena, to raise their own flock and make cheese. Their ‘salame’ are made using Cinta Senesi pigs, an ancient local breed that originates from Tuscany.
