‘Rutland Red’ Red Leicester is an award winning, traditional, cloth bound Leicestershire cheese made with pasteurised cows’ milk by a farming cooperative that has been running for over 100 years.
Red Leicester has a gorgeous, rich orange colour and full, nutty flavour with an underlying sweetness. It has a smooth, creamy texture and is beautifully matured, creating a cheese that is a world away from supermarket equivalents.
This cheese is aged for 6 months and is made with pasteurised cows’ milk and vegetarian rennet.
