Langres is a rind washed cheese, from the Langres Plateau in the Champagne-Ardennes region in France. The cheese is traditionally washed in Marc de Bourgogne brandy and is best served with champagne poured into the crevice on top - how decadent!
Petit Langres is a smelly, rind washed cheese with a pungent aroma and fruity flavour. It has a soft, creamy texture with a slightly crumbly centre when younger.
This cheese is aged for 5 weeks and is made with raw cows’ milk and traditional rennet.
