Perl Las, meaning ‘Blue Pearl’ in Welsh is a fantastic blue cheese made by Caws Cenarth in Carmarthenshire. The family have been making cheese on their farm, in the valley of the river Cych, for six generations.
Perl Las has a beautiful golden colour with a rich blue veining. It is a medium strength blue cheese with a creamy texture, light sweetness and subtle salty taste.
Perl Las is aged for 2 months and is made with organic pasteurised cows’ milk and vegetarian rennet.
