Eve is produced by the award winning Whitelake Cheese Company at Bagborough Farm in Pylle Somerset, just off the Glastonbury festival site. They produce all their cheeses with the milk from their own beloved herd of Toggenberg, British Alpine and Saanen goats on their environmentally friendly farm.
Eve is a soft cheese which has been washed in Somerset Cider Brandy and then wrapped in vine leaves which allows it to ripen and take on a beautiful oozing texture. These cheeses start young and lactic but become very soft, gooey and tangy as they ripen.
The cheese is made with thermised goat’s milk and vegetarian rennet.
