Dol Las is the sister cheese to Perl Las, two fantastic blue cheeses made by Caws Cenarth in Carmarthenshire. The family have been making cheese on their farm, in the valley of the river Cych, for six generations.
Dol Las has a beautiful ivory colour with a rich blue veining. It is a medium strength blue cheese with a creamy and moist texture, with a great balance between the the sweet milk and salty blue.
Perl Las is aged for 2 months and is made with pasteurised cows’ milk and vegetarian rennet.
