Lago Nero are a family run Tuscan biscuit makers, run by master baker Cristina Lucarelli, near Prato in Italy. Every single biscuit is handmade using traditional recipes and high quality ingredients.
Cantucci are the Tuscan answer to Biscotti, a twice baked, extra crunchy, almond biscuit. Traditionally they are dipped in dessert wine for a luxurious sweet treat, but here in the UK, they work rather well dunked in tea or coffee.
These are the most traditional and classic almond Cantucci.
Wheat Flour (Type ’00’), Sugar, Almonds (21%), Eggs, Egg Yolk, Butter, Italian Honey, Raising Agent: Disodium Diphosphate, Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate, Corn Starch, Salt.
