With our usual delivery of delicious cheeses from the Rungis market in Paris, we have also received some extra special goodies to tantalise your senses….
…. so the shop is now perfumed with the fresh, heady aroma of new-season French garlic, which is keeping company with other stunning fruit and vegetables including giant white asparagus and succulent, extra-grade Sicilian blood oranges.
We also received stacks of delicious sausages to tickle your tastebuds, just in time for barbeque season!
And now that the weather is finally taking a turn for the better, why not enjoy some of our wonderful selection of summery cheeses? We currently have in stock a huge range of artisan French individual goat and sheeps’ milk cheeses…….
….. and we have lots of other delicious new products in stock to tempt you with, including a huge range of new season olives, lots of strange and exciting new pastas, and some great new additions to our cheese selection – such as locally produced “Suffolk shipcord” and “Norfolk dapple”.
We are also thrilled to be able to finally stock the infamous ‘Pickled Pig’ cider in bottles. We have been a fan of this cider for ages and always enjoy a few pints (much more can become dangerously disorientating!) if we find a pub that keeps it on draught. It is made in small quantities in Stretham, near Ely, using a mix of culinary, dessert and wild crab apples and is the ultimate sunshine tipple. So with the jet stream finally on its way out and the sun tentatively peering over the horizon, make sure you stock up now to avoid disappointment!
