Hereford Hop
Hereford Hop was created in 1987 by Charles Martell & Son Ltd on Hunts Court Farm in Gloucestershire, just a couple of miles from the Herefordshire border. Martell was made famous for Sticking Bishop cheese but now creates a wider range of interesting British cheeses.
Hereford Hop has a rich, buttery flavour with grassy and citrus notes from the toasted hops that cover the cheese. It has a semi firm, creamy texture and pleasantly sharp aftertaste.
This cheese is made with pasteurised cows’ milk and traditional rennet.
