Cumin Gouda, Komijnekaas

Komijnekaas is a traditionally made farmhouse Gouda from the Leiden region in the Netherlands. This version is packed with cumin seeds.

Komijnekaas is a firm, full flavoured cheese with the strong, aromatic and spicy flavour of cumin. It has a dense but buttery texture and is starting to crystallise, thanks to the long maturation process.

This cheese is aged for 1 year in the Netherlands and then an additional year in our cellars and is made with pasteurised cows’ milk and traditional rennet.
