Extra Mature Cheddar Gorge Cheddar
The Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company is the only remaining producer of cheddar left in the village of Cheddar, Somerset. They are a family, owned, independent, artisan cheesemakers and are rated as one of the best in the world, with their cheeses winning many accolades. Only fresh, local, unpasteurised milk is used so that the full flavour of the terroir comes through.
Extra Mature Cheddar Gorge Cheddar is full of character, with a strong, well rounded flavour, without too much sharpness.
This cheese is aged for 15 to 16 months and is made with raw cows’ milk and traditional rennet.
