Biggar Blue’s production only began in 2019 when it was created as a sister cheese to the well known Lanark Blue. It is made in Carnwath, near Edinburgh in Scotland and is an exact copy of Lanark Blue, using goats’ milk instead of ewes’ milk.
Biggar Blue is intensely strong with a rich, powerful kick and full flavour. It is beautifully creamy in texture and lasts on the palate.
This cheese is 2 months old and is made with raw goats’ milk and vegetarian rennet.
