Camembert de Normandie AOC
Camembert is likely one of the most recognised and popular cheeses in the world. It was allegedly first made in the 1790’s by a farmer from Normandy, following the instruction of a priest from Brie, however, really came into it’s own after the invention of the small wooden box used to carry the cheese in 1890. Our Camembert is artisan made and AOC protected, meaning it always comes from Normandy and is only made with raw milk in the traditional way.
Camembert is a full flavoured, strong, soft, gooey, buttery and ultra creamy cheese, with a wonderful mushroom flavour, that is delicious eaten as is or baked in the oven.
Camembert is aged for 4 weeks and is made with raw cows’ milk and traditional rennet.
