More and more people are choosing wedding ‘cheese cakes’ as a delicious, fashionable and affordable alternative to the traditional wedding cake. At The Cambridge Cheese Company, we provide a bespoke service, to ensure you get exactly what you want for your special day!

Below are examples of tried and tested cakes, to point you in the right direction. If you would like a more bespoke service we would be more than happy to assist.  Please feel free to contact us by email, telephone, or ideally by popping into the shop for a tasting!

Please note, we only supply the cheese itself and don’t provide any decoration, but we’ve found that the cheese looks magnificent enough as it is or with some simple fruit or flowers.

Our celebration cakes are available in three sizes:

Celebration cake for 50-75 guests, 5 tiers

Tier 1. Cornish Yarg. Beautiful nettle-wrapped cheese that’s crumbly, buttery and easy going. A real crowd pleaser! Made with pasteurised milk and vegetarian rennet.

Tier 2. Perl Wen. Organic Welsh Brie-style cheese with a soft, gloomy rind and a gentle but rich, buttery flavour. Pasteurised and veggie.

Tier 3. Picos de Europa. Stunning, strong and creamy blue from Northern Spain. Made with a mixture of cows’ and goats’ milk and wrapped in sycamore leaves. Pasteurised and traditional rennet. 

Tier 4. Binham Blue. Fantastic creamy blue from Norfolk. Pasteurised and veggie.

Tier 5. Neufchâtel heart/ goat pyramid. Heart-shaped Camembert style cheese propped up on an English ashed goat pyramid (both raw milk)

Celebration cake for 75-100 guests, 6 tiers

Tier 1. Cheddar Gorge Vintage Cheddar. The only cheddar made in Cheddar! Classic strong cheddar flavour, made with Raw milk.

Tier 2. Cornish Yarg. Beautiful nettle-wrapped cheese that’s crumbly, buttery and easy going. A real crowd pleaser! Made with pasteurised milk and vegetarian rennet.
